Abstract: The main objective of this material is to highlight the important aspects of the forensic expert procedure in cases of child abuse, both within the Romanian system and in other EU Member States. The focus is on the challenges faced by practitioners in this field in Romania, but at the same time it explores the prospects for improving this process, with the aim of guaranteeing respect for and protection of children’s rights.
