Abstract: With the resumption of the publication of the Romanian Journal of Legal Medicine, I find it important to recall a few milestones that have, over time, served as a guarantee of the role our specialty has played in the history of medical sciences.
Our intention is for the journal to continue reflecting the latest developments in the fields of forensic medicine, pathology, clinical forensic medicine, forensic genetics, toxicology, forensic psychiatry, anthropology, and identification—in essence, the entire vast scope that forms the subject of study for one of the most complex medical specialties, with implications in social life, serving as a bridge between medical-biological sciences and justice.
